The Good Morning Montgomery Kiwanis Club participates in service projects such as:

Reading is Fundamental

Children shop at Christmas

My goals this year to increase the strength of our club are:

1. Increase the funds in the Administration Account.
       Objective: Increase club membership by 5+ members.

2. Increase club image in the community.
       Objective: Improve local media coverage of club events.

3. Increase Project Funds account.
       Objective: Begin peanut sales earlier; establish work days with tables at local restaurants.
       Objective: Hold a second peanut sale for customers who run out by mid-year.
       Objective: Start ticket sales for the pancake breakfast shortly after Jan. 1, 2010.

4. Increase interface with schools/children.
       Objective: Work to form Key Clubs
       Objective: Work with schools to find counselors/teachers for Key Clubs.

5. Develop education programs within the GMMKC
       Objective: Utilize one meeting per quarter for education about Kiwanis.

6. Increase internal communication within the club.
       Objective: Provide monthly calendar of scheduled meetings and events.
       Objective: Utilize e-mail communication to the maximum.
       Objective: Publish weekly post meeting (email + 2)
       Objective: Update Club roster when new members are initiated, or when current members information changes.  Send within one week to all members via email.

7.  Improve Committee functions.
       Objective: Establish Committee Chairs reporting once per quarter to Board of Directors.

8. Increase visibility of the "K" within the club.
       Objective: Encourage wearing of the "K" pin.
       Objective: Encourage wearing of Kiwanis name tags.
       Objective: Encourage wearing of Kiwanis shirts and hats at meetings and events.

9. Encourage increased participation at social events.
       Objective: Announce events early.
       Objective: Designate a POC early for the event.
       Objective: Provide all information early to members so that they can plan attendance.

10.  Increase appreciation of works accomplished by Club members and the Club as an entity.
       Objective: Recognize members at meetings for "a Job Well Done".
       Objective: Stress the importance to the members for the Club to achieve Distinguished Club status.  It takes 100% participation to achieve this goal.
